Getting Out of the Sand
September 5th, 2010
Let’s assume that you have just hit your drive into a sand trap. The ball is sitting up pretty good and you have about 145 yards left to reach the green. What club do you use?
Well, of course, this is your decision, but don’t rule out your woods.
With a wood you can hit the sand hard, and because it has a flat bottom, the head of the club will not bury like an iron does. (I have even used a three wood to get out of a green side bunker when the ball was sitting up well. Also this makes for easy, effortless golf, when it is used properly.)
Happy Golfing,
Bob
