My $1,000,000 Tip

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Here is a tip that I have never shared with anyone. It has cut several strokes off of my golf game and I’ve never heard it mentioned anywhere before.

But, before I give you the tip, let me ask you something.  Do you ever have trouble with “topping the ball” or “hitting fat” from time to time - especially in the fairway or close to the green? If you’re like most of us, the answer is yes!

Also, did you ever notice that, for nearly any golf shot, when you practice swing that you seem to be fluent, effortless, and powerful. The swing just seems to glide through, touching the ground, and then, on to a perfect finish?

But, when you put the golf ball in place, does it seem that everything changes? Now the fluidity leaves, and your swing becomes a little tense, less powerful, somewhat erratic and even a little choppy? Do you sometimes have trouble just making good contact?

Well, if this has happened to you, here’s probably why.

When you took your practice swing, you looked at the GROUND. When you got ready to hit your ball, you looked at the BALL. Are you starting to get the picture?

Sure, the Ground and Ball are not on the same plain, so you consciously (or subcounsciously) made slight changes to your swing to compensate.

So, next time you get ready to swing, DON’T LOOK AT YOUR BALL!!!  Simply look at the GROUND AROUND THE BALL!!! Try to ignore the ball completely!!! Now, just swing and touch the ground - just like your practice swing.

It’s that simple. Did it work?

(Well, that’s my $1,000,000.00 tip. Feel free to send me $1,000,000 if it works for you - and you really want to.)

Happy Golfing,

Bob
