Getting Accuracy and Power
Sunday, April 25th, 2010When preparing for their golf shot, most amateurs walk up to their ball, take their stance, place the head of the golf club behind their ball, take a look at their target, fidget a little, and then swing.
Yet professionals do it a little differently. They walk up outside of their ball, place their clubhead square to their target path, look at their target, take their stance, look back at their target, re-adjust their stance as necessary, and then, let it rip.
Do you see the difference?
If you take your stance and then place the clubhead behind the ball, you are at the mercy of your alignment. What if you are too close or to far from the ball? What if your alignment is not perfect for your swing?
So, next time, do as the pro’s do – set your club face first, then align yourself to the target. You will feel much more freedom and power this way, and you may well add additional accuracy to every swing.
