Sequence Your Golf Swing

April 13th, 2008

For many golfers, swinging out of sequence is a major problem.

However, there is a simple drill that will help you gain the proper feel:

After taking your stance, lift your left foot off of the ground. Swing back to the top of your normal backswing and make a slight pause. Step down onto the ground with your left foot, then start down with your forward swing - continue, right through the ball, to your finish.

When doing this drill, you should feel your weight on your right side during your backswing, and then feel your weight shift to your left side as you begin the downswing.
This shifting of your weight will enable you to pull your club through and help you balance yourself at the finish of your swing.

Note: There is another way to accomplish this same feel while learning to increase your swing speed, and distance, at the same time. It is in Lesson # 5 of Easy 80 Golf - and, you learn this drill in such a way, that you do it naturally, every time, without thinking about it - even on the golf course!

Happy Golfing,

Bob
